In short: you book by WhatsApp or email, we confirm everything in writing, including how and when you pay. We adapt plans to the weather and your safety, and we always try to find a fair solution if something goes wrong.
1. Who we are
These terms apply to tours and activities organised by Merzouga Online ("Merzouga Online", "we"), Merzouga, Morocco. Full details are in our legal notice.
2. Booking
You can ask for a tour on WhatsApp, by email or with the form on this website. A booking is confirmed only when we have sent you a written confirmation with the tour, dates, number of travelers, what's included and the total price.
Please check the confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. The person who books accepts these terms for everyone in the group.
3. Prices
Prices on this website are a guide, in euros, per person or per vehicle as stated. Your confirmed price is the one in our written confirmation, and it doesn't change afterwards except if you change the trip. Prices include what is listed under "Included" on each tour page. Tips, drinks, personal expenses, travel insurance and anything listed under "Not included" are extra.
4. Payment
How and when you pay (any deposit, the balance and the accepted payment methods) is set out in your written booking confirmation.
5. Cancellation by you
Please tell us as early as possible, in writing (WhatsApp or email). The cancellation conditions for your trip are set out in your written booking confirmation.
If you leave a tour once it has started, or don't show up, the services not used cannot be refunded.
6. Changes and cancellation by us
The desert and the mountains decide part of the plan. Sandstorms, heavy rain, snow on the Atlas passes, closed roads or a health problem can mean changing a route, the order of the days or an activity. When this happens we offer the closest alternative of equal value, or refund the part that can't be provided.
If we have to cancel a tour before it starts, for example because of a safety risk, you can choose another date or a full refund of what you paid. We are not responsible for flights, trains or hotels you booked yourself, so please allow some margin when planning connections.
7. Safety and your responsibilities
- Follow the instructions of your guide and driver. They can change or stop an activity if they think it's unsafe.
- Tell us before booking about any health condition, pregnancy, reduced mobility or allergy that could matter on the trip.
- Camel rides, quad and ATV rides and sandboarding involve some physical risk. Minimum ages and conditions are given on each tour page. Quad and ATV drivers must follow the guide and use the safety equipment provided.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them at all times.
- Bring a valid passport. Hotels in Morocco are required to register it.
8. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical costs, repatriation and cancellation. It is not included in our prices.
9. Liability
We choose our drivers, vehicles, camps and hotels with care and are responsible for the services we provide. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by events beyond our control (weather, natural events, strikes, decisions of the authorities), by your own actions, or by services you book directly with someone else. Keep valuables with you; big luggage left at our guesthouse is stored in a locked room.
10. Photos
Our guides sometimes take photos during tours to send you or share on our social media. If you prefer not to appear, just tell your guide.
11. Complaints
If something isn't right, tell your guide or message us straight away, so we can fix it on the spot. After the trip, write to us within 30 days and we will answer within 15 days.
12. Law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. We always look for a friendly solution first. If none is found, the competent courts are those of Morocco, without prejudice to the consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
